Zpark recently launched PowerBay, its next-generation destination charger. For existing Zpark customers, PowerBay makes it possible to add more charging points within the same system. One of the first customers to expand its installation with PowerBay is BRF Herkules, a housing cooperative in Boden, Sweden.
As the need for more charging points grows, expanding an existing installation should be straightforward. For customers already using Zpark Classic or PowerBay Core, Zpark Gateway and load balancer are already in place. This means new PowerBay units can easily be integrated into the same system and controlled together with the existing chargers.
Expanding the existing charging system
BRF Herkules already had a Zpark installation with Zpark Classic chargers. When the need for more charging points arose, the housing cooperative chose to expand the system with the newly launched PowerBay.
The installation is now complete, with the new PowerBay units operating as part of the same Zpark system.
– It feels reassuring that we can add more charging points to our existing Zpark system as our needs grow. We can keep the infrastructure we already have and expand with PowerBay, says Göran Norman, Chair of BRF Herkules.

A future-proof charging system
An important part of Zpark’s future-proof charging system is the ability to combine new and existing chargers within the same system. Zpark continuously develops and updates the system with new features and improvements. This means customers can benefit from the latest updates regardless of when their chargers were installed.
The result is a charging system that can continue to develop as needs change, without requiring customers to start over from scratch.
– For us, future-proofing means enabling our customers to continue developing the installation they already have. With PowerBay, existing customers can add more charging points as their needs grow, while their existing chargers remain part of the same system, says Jimmy Abrahamsson, CEO and founder of Zpark.

Current PowerBay trade-in offer
Customers with existing engine heater installations can currently upgrade to PowerBay through Zpark’s trade-in offer. Engine heater enclosures from GARO PN100/P100 and ABB CW200 can be traded in for a reduced price when purchasing PowerBay.
With PowerBay, existing parking installations can be both expanded and modernised, both functionally as well as visually.
